Fair point on Zenit, although the Moscow clubs have always been big and in or around Champions League places for quite a while. Yeah they weren't really competitive back then, but even now none of them are really that competitive, which is quite surprising but oh well. |
Exactly and if it wasn't for the money, that spell would have lasted much much longer.
Those teams did horribly in quite a few seasons over the past 10 years with PSG nearly getting relegated twice and Monaco actually playing in Ligue 2 for two seasons.
