hence they go put effert on platforms where their games are loved and purchesed not hated  and whined they arent "value" enough for elitist ninty fans.

Its only logical to drop support, in every sense possible from any angle you can choose to look at the choice.

There are other ways to change the perception of value than just dropping price (where ROI is non-existent).

Bayonetta 2 release includes the first game in the package. What if EA released the trilogy instead of Mass Effect 3? Or Ubisoft with its AC1+2+3? You build an audience, and don't expect it to grow instantly. Rome wasn't build in a day.
