Honestly if Nintendo had started at $199.99/$249.99 without the Gamepad bundled they probably be much further away from X1 total sales. We all can do this :)


Except Nintendo has shown no inclination of dropping the GamePad whereas MS did eventually acknowledge Kinect being mandatory was a mistake. 

Also $499.99 is a much more prohibitive price point than $299/$349 is. No console has ever sold well in gaming history at that price point. 


And^ Im just pointing out that it would of been in a much better position. Its not Nintendo's fault that MS thought Bundling Kinect 100% was a good idea (and visa versa with the gamepad).

You gave a scenario and i gave a scenario as well. Both of which are "IF" This happened which it didn't unfortunately. I agree though that those prices are very high and obviously affected X1 overall, but personally to me it didn't look like it made all the difference in a way MS wanted it too.
