Sorry to say, but it's a logical rule. It deters theft from other retailers that could lead to gamestop accepting stolen goods. My local gamestop has told me that if they see someone bring in an unopened game they can NEVER accept that game from that person. period. Never forget there are a lot of people out there who are shady as hell.
