It did not have ONE decent racing game (except for MK).
Graphics on many (racing) games were worse than the Gamecube, maybe because of the mowe to HD TV.
Good games: Endless Ocean, Trauma Center, Galaxy, Zelda.
The best: you could play non-motion games with both arms relaxed resting beside you, not having to grasp a small controller (makes my limbs hurt).
The worst: forced motion controll instead of pressing a button.

While I agree with the lack of control options, I have to argue your point a bit. While it surely could have used some more racing games, such as the F-Zero it never got, the system did have some good racing games. Excite Truck, for what it's worth, once you got used to the motion controls, was really an excellent game, very fun, with a lot of replayability. They kind of fucked up on the sequel, changing it to the gimmicky "Excite Bots" concept, and adding in all these silly mid-race events and bullshit, when what they should have done was release a better looking Excite Truck, with more vehicle types (bikes, cars, etc.), more tracks, and online racing. THAT would have been great. Excite Bots wasn't a bad game, in fact it was still pretty fun. But a real sequel to Excite Truck could have been so much better.

But even outside of those, at least a couple of the NFS ports were actually rather good, and that Tony Hawk Downhill Jam or whatever it was called, was surprisingly fun. It could have had more/better, you're right. But I think it had an okay selection of racers.

To me the NFS games looked worse than on GC (I think it got worse when we changed from SDTV to HDTV). Maybe the gameplay was the same as before but it felt to me as I was driving around a big block of stone. The physichs of the games, as I recall, was also clunky.

A game I liked was Trackmania, but that is not a "real" racing game. I would love Trackmania to Wii U but I understand they will not move outside PC anymore.

im with you, those NFS games for Wii were terrible the only one that was good was teh one made specifically for the system. hell the PSP ports were better. IMHO if it wasnt for Mario Kart that system would have been a complete disaster for racers. and teh Wii version of that game isnt even all that. IMHO
