All the hands on experiences I've heard about it is that the energy tether is uncontrollably bad at times, which is terrible because they made it a large portion of the game.

Just go back to 16 bit like Mega Man brought back the 8-bit craze, and get the ****ing jumping right and you'd have a top selling Sonic game, not this crap.

This game epitomizes the difference between Mario and Sonic. Mario games focus on refining its key elements to extremely high levels. Sonic games continue to pile on more crappy systems. If Sonic is ever going to be worth mentioning in the same sentence as Mario again, they'll need to trim the fat and focus on solid jumping and going fast.
