When is a delay not a delay? They have scheduled games, then pushed them back. Sometimes they, like all first parties, have adjusted their schedules to suit other games. Mostly it is circumstances like The Order and Driveclub - the games simple weren't ready due to longer than anticipated development times. Don't stress about it too much, the development times will shorten as the generation moves on. This argument about Microsoft's investment in games got tired about half way through the last generation. Microsoft currently has seventeen first party studios and thats in addition to their second party publishing deals. Further, some of those studios are two-team studios. They also have seperate studios to manage their back end systems (though these work across departments, not just for Xbox). Microsoft's most recent exclusive for Xbox 360 launched 3 months ago - 9 years after the release of that console. Now, I understand why you railed against Microsoft to try to support your original argument, really I do. But unfortunately, whether you blame it on Sony's development management abilities and degree of investment, or the simple realities of modern game development, we're just going to see major Sony exclusives a little less often than we did on PS3 - as Sony themselves have said. |
Do you really want to compare the exclusive lineup of the 360 to the PS3 in it's last few years? Last year alone the PS3 got The Last of Us, Beyond, God of War Ascension, Ratchet and Clank, MLB, and Gran Turismo 6. 360 got Gears of War Judgement and... yeah. It's no comparison. Count the number of Microsoft studios all you want but history has proven that they do a poor job of supporting a console later in it's lifespan.
Sigs are dumb. And so are you!
