LOL really? Looking at sales of recent TR games, I don't think this will sell enough consoles to even be noticable as a 'bump'. Maybe 5K consoles extra? Maaaaaybe? Whereas the same $$ spent on making a killer 1st party title could have had a huge impact, and X1 owners would STILL have gotten this TR entry (for whatever that's worth, not much honestly). |
Here's is the thing, this is Practically MS's MO, they only have 2 major first parties, one of which they bought recently in Gears. maybe the investors have an issue with inhousse 1st party dev or something.
Regardless, Xbox is at 10% hp right now and this is their limit break, Buy all the games, I personally hate it but I loved the trailer more than I hate this so if I see some gameplay and I like it then well, +1 XB1. obviously their are better ways, that can get more people, but MS wants ppl to buy Xb1's nao, in 2015, and why risk a new franchise when they can at least get .17 million sales assured hopefully. Crystal Dynamics doesn't have to worry about selling cause MS is paying them.
Exclusivity always screws over consumers, but at least with exclusive franchies like Mario, Halo(not counting 1), and Uncharted you know where to get it. Making a 3rd party exclusive a multiplat makes the original fans a bit salty but its still pretty good, but making a multiplat an exclusive, like this is really just a dick move. Even if they ignored last gen thats like 16 mill ppl + pc, and then 176 mill with last gen.
