Mario Kart 8's Online mode plays well on a 3G Connection

Recently, I didn't have internet and I wanted to play in a tourney, so what I did was use my mobile phone as a hotspot and connected my Wii U to it. It worked perfectly for me for a while with hardly any lag and I only got a connection error once.
