I think you're really underestimating Destiny, just compare it to Watch Dogs. According to vgchartz that sold 1.6 million on PS4 in its first week, now compare its pre orders to Destinys.

6 weeks before release Destiny on PS4 has according to out chart about 590k pre orders in the US.

6 weeks before release Watch Dogs on PS4 had about 255k pre orders in the US and was, crazy enough, already behind Destiny at that time.

Destiny will be much bigger than Watch Dogs.

Oh indeed, i didnt remember Watch Dogs first week was so good.
Well, 2,5M then, it seems to be a safe bet.

 

And about PS4 sales, 1M in september, that's the only thing certain.
