What I expect
5-5.8 inch 1280x720 LCD (cheap to manufacture, good quality). Single screen.
Close to Wii U visuals at 960x540/30 fps.
May 2016 launch (Japan), June 2016 (North America), July 2016 (Europe)
ARM + Qualcomm chipset (similar to Adreno 430 chip but tailored to gaming)
NFC reader built-in
$200-$220 launch
2-2.5GB LPDDR4 RAM (1GB reserved for OS)
Will have a "home" version release in fall 2016 (plays the same games, only in 1080P/60 FPS). Console will be similar in size to an AppleTV (microconsole). Will be cheap. Because chips are largely off the shelf cellphone/tablet components, price will scale down quickly allowing Nintendo to make a profit quickly.
Super Mario Galaxy 3 will be a launch title, Animal Crossing Next will follow soon after. Mario Kart 9 for Nov/December 2016.
Unified account for both machines. Same games. Will have decent third party support. Youkai Watch 3 HD, Monster Hunter 5 HD, EA will even return with Madden/FIFA/Star Wars. Bulk of support will come from Japan. With one unified platform, software delays will not be as prevalant.
