Lol this dude explaining what type of website this is to a 3+ year member with ~60 times the post count
Sony sold 3.5M PS3+PS4's last Q, majority of which are PS4 sales PS3 sold 1.1M same period last year. PS3 is down a lot YoY as is evident on NPD, MC and Chart track data etc. PS3 last Q is definetly not at 1.1M, there is no YoY stagnation for a 7 year old console, it's down according to every tracker. Conclusion: PS4 atleast 2.4M, more than likely close to +3M Sales of the PS3+PS4 alone are more than anything MS and Nintendo sold combined. Shipment is a term "gamers" came up with, when I use it next to "sold", it should be obvious what I mean with that, the term sold in these instances always refers to sold-in, as in: to retailers. Even then, it should be clear what "outsold it in shipment" means, really... If you're honestly confused and need even more simple explanation: it meant "outshipped in shipments" lawl... The PS4 is an absolute beast and no console or handheld comes close to it in overall sales. Next time before you comment, do your homework. When you try to talk about numbers, show them, instead of being angry, I don't wanna waste my time with people who don't look at numbers. |
The PS4 is currently in high demand. It's hard to keep the consoles in stock, which is why they have SHIPPED so many consoles recently. 3DS, on the other hand, just came off of a great year, but is currently not in high demand. This would suggest that during that great year, Nintendo might have SHIPPED a lot of units, explaining why their shipments of the 3DS were so low last quarter. I don't think VGChartz is insisting anything. They are showing that the PS4 is slightly outSELLING the 3DS. End of story. You don't have to flash your credentials at me. That's like saying you're smarter than someone because you're older than them. It's a terrible argument. You have to differentiate between SHIPPED and sold through to the consumer. From your original post, it's very difficult to understand what point you are trying to make.
I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.
