When I first started getting into anime, I watched pretty much everything.  It was new, it was different, and it was amazing.  However, as I stumbled upon the best of the best, I came to realize that most anime isn't very good or very original.  The bulk of new anime each season is, at best, forgettable.  There is such a vast gulf between the top level stuff and filler anime which depends entirely on cliches.  As much as anime like Welcome to the NHK, Monster, Serial Experiments Lain, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Nichijou, Kare no Kyoukai, and Nodame Cantabile make me fall in love with the potential of the medium, they also make me less likely to be forgiving of the stuff that's just there to occupy a time-slot.

Again with the bashing. Every stuff has its audience. It's not just filler. There are people waiting years for specific animes that you just disregarded as mere filler material.

As I said it's one thing to like only the best animes, it's another to be a dick about everything else.

Also your avatar raises the possibility of your post being sarcasm.

What in particular did I bash?  If I don't like a harem anime that is pretty much the same as several other harem anime I've seen already, that's well with-in my rights.  You're telling me that I'm being a dick because I'm critcal of anime which I think is bad?  Seriously?  Anime is not inherently good.  Just like games, novels, or movies, there is anime that simply isn't all that special or is out-and-out bad.

If you don't like me not liking every anime out there, honestly, you're just going to have to deal with it.
