So yeah, me and VanceIX can be negative nancies sometimes, but that is just because we love anime so much...or at least that is how it is for me. PS: I'm Supernatural by that list...hm, maybe I should watch more supernatural anime. I'm jealous of all the January people though :P

When I first started getting into anime, I watched pretty much everything.  It was new, it was different, and it was amazing.  However, as I stumbled upon the best of the best, I came to realize that most anime isn't very good or very original.  The bulk of new anime each season is, at best, forgettable.  There is such a vast gulf between the top level stuff and filler anime which depends entirely on cliches.  As much as anime like Welcome to the NHK, Monster, Serial Experiments Lain, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Nichijou, Kare no Kyoukai, and Nodame Cantabile make me fall in love with the potential of the medium, they also make me less likely to be forgiving of the stuff that's just there to occupy a time-slot.
