Looks like Guardians of the Galaxy could have the biggest opening of the year!

Also Guardians didn't do so great overseas either considering that it already opened in most major foreign markets and in a lot of them it already opened on the 31st. Its doing incredible overseas. Its global opening weekend was only 9 million less than Winter Soldier and that had a recognizable main hero and multiple Avengers in it like Cap, Nick Fury, and Black Widow.

guardians is THE home run of the summer without question. 

The home run of the summer regrettably is Transformers 4 which just past the 1 billion mark world wide in large part to the 500 million plus it made in North America and China alone.
