I seriously doubt PowerPC is really suitable for a handheld system. They would need to spend a lot of time modernizing the architecture for the needs of a low power, battery based device. AMD are developing some ARM based designs, so they could provide a design for both systems. ARM is a scalable architecture that is just as prevalent as x86 plus Nintendo already use it for their handhelds.


and ARM cpus are cheap and powerfull, and porting from mobile isnt a big deal.
