I struggle to think of much worth recommending this year...
Phantogram's new album was pretty decent and interesting enough to at least check out.
Jack White's Lazaretto has a few songs worth listening to and he does try a lot of new things which are interesting in some songs:
Chevelle's La Gargola is probably my most listened to album of this year, with them moving back into heavier stuff which is certainly a nice return to form:
Other than that, I just hope that the second half of the year brings more heavy hitters...
