2) The "bigger" Japanese games are going to come to XB1 anyway because they need western sales (which can make up like 70% of their total sales).  Providing for the Japanese market may only be a token offer at this point.

3) The mid-tier Japanese games aren't going to be enticed by XB1's sales in Japan unless something changes, because they're going to be making 60-70% of their total sales in Japan and so the market is just going to be too small.

I don't think it's a bad idea for MS to release in Japan, but I can't see them gaining a whole lot from it with their current strategy.  I may not have been a fan of them buying timed exclusivity of mid-tier franchises last generation, but at least it was a strategy with a long-term goal (that sadly didn't pan out).

Well it's either that or releasing it for viable hardware sales... and it's not going to be the latter.
