Everything was flopping hardcore on Wii U. MK8 is the first game which sold very well (already more than 2 millions outside holiday seasons). It is not only shwoing great legs, but it has also a lasting effect on consoles sales in the West.

MK8 basically showed that the Wii U wasn't dead and put it back into the race. It won't be a sub 15 millions discontinued console like people were predicting here.

A lasting effect... sure. Just out of curiousity, what do you think the Wii U will do lifetime now, that Mario Kart "had a lasting effect on console sales in the west"?
