You gain by showing the confidence you have in your views. But that's too late now, as you've already declined the offer. You aren't confident enough to agree, and not just to this bet, but to any and all of your views. (As you're essentially admitting you wouldn't take any bet.)

You aren't uncaring about embarassing me to justify your point, you're afraid of embarassing yourself and being wrong. You can't spin the lack of acceptance to my proposal besides the obvious - Even if it's an inkling of doubt, it's still there.

I couldn't care less about even losing about the bet or being wrong, because I'm hardly on VGchartz to begin with. My point was to test your confidence, and now everyone knows the truth.
