The 3DS also offers a new The Legend of Zelda, Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing, Paper Mario, Professor Layton, Pokémon, Kirby, Mario Party and Kid Icarus. The systems aren't comparable.

As someone said earlier, Wii U is Wii U's worst enemy. Once it has received proper software support and a lower price tag, people will pick it up.

Funny thing about those games you listed, the Wii U basically doesn't have any of those IP out right now, except Mario Party. In some respects, its a much better experince then the Wii U.

Wii U has been dropping in price and getting games for over a year now, even when the 3DS was struggling from launch up until its first holiday, it was still shorter then the Wii U's flop period which for all intents and purposes is its entire life so far.

Its not about whether the systems are comparable or not. It matters whether they compliment each other or conflict with each other, and as of now it sure doesn't compliment it hardware wise or software wise.

Smash 3DS could be argued as a compliment, but the focus on the 3DS is not only unnecessary but harmful. What's the 3DS's closest competition? The Vita, which is not a threat to the 3DS at all, Meanwhile, the Wii U is getting curbstomped by the PS4. Clearly, the priorties are misplaced here.

That was precisely my point. The 3DS has received a vast array of popular titles while the Wii U has few great system sellers. Until Wii U has received a comparable amount of system sellers you can't jump to any conclusions. As far as we know the 3DS may have even helped Wii U's sales by launching the greatly popular 3D Land/World IP, while Mario Kart 8's sales certainly doesn't seem to have been slowed down by Mario Kart 7's success.

IPS that should have come to the WIi U instead of the 3DS. The top 2/3 of the expected system sellers drop this year, with Zelda U coming out later, but even then Smash's potential is being weened on a system that needs all the help it can get for a system that be all accounts should be left to die. Without third party support even system sellers are barely going to move units. Look at the graph, I posted, the red circle, that's mario kart. Frankly, its to little to late. Even if it gets the games, its on track to be sub Gamecube. The 3DS just recently lost Nintendo's Marketting Focus, Nintendo's Development focus, still has the price advantage, and still has the game advantage.

When I say the 3DS is the Wii U's worst enemy its not just a matter of sales, no its very clear that Nintendo's desire to "save the 3DS" is basically Vitaizing the Wii U right now. It has many of the games Wii U has and then some, plus third party support. They don't compliment each other at all. Buying a 3DS offers no reason to get a Wii U and vice versa
