Of course....... just like the DS was the Wii's worst enemy!

It all makes sense and stuff!

Graphs don't lie.

While the DS complemented the Wii.

The 3DS offers a similar but cheaper experience to that of the Wii U.

The 3DS also offers a new The Legend of Zelda, Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing, Paper Mario, Professor Layton, Pokémon, Kirby, Mario Party and Kid Icarus. The systems aren't comparable.

As someone said earlier, Wii U is Wii U's worst enemy. Once it has received proper software support and a lower price tag, people will pick it up.

Funny thing about those games you listed, the Wii U basically doesn't have any of those IP out right now, except Mario Party. In some respects, its a much better experince then the Wii U.

Wii U has been dropping in price and getting games for over a year now, even when the 3DS was struggling from launch up until its first holiday, it was still shorter then the Wii U's flop period which for all intents and purposes is its entire life so far.

Its not about whether the systems are comparable or not. It matters whether they compliment each other or conflict with each other, and as of now it sure doesn't compliment it hardware wise or software wise.

Smash 3DS could be argued as a compliment, but the focus on the 3DS is not only unnecessary but harmful. What's the 3DS's closest competition? The Vita, which is not a threat to the 3DS at all, Meanwhile, the Wii U is getting curbstomped by the PS4. Clearly, the priorties are misplaced here.
