Lastly, Wii U is not less interesting than Wii 2. The U is actually a 2 in roman numerals. There's nothing wrong with Wii U.

Wait, are you actually defending the name Wii U? It can't get much worse and I'll explain why.

The name "Wii" doesn't attract core gamers. Most of them don't care for motion controls, associate it with less than amazing graphics and overall, they think it's lame. They, the ones who associate the name "Wii" with bad, will understand what a Wii U is.

The name "Wii" is very familiar to the casual gamer / iPhone crowed. They liked the Wii and weather they moved on or not, still know what it is. Yet, they are the ones confused by the name Wii U.

See the problem? The only ones who understand what a Wii U is, don't care. Wii 2 or better yet, NES6 wouldn't have caused any confusion.
