7th gen Nintendo more than competed they dominated by tapping into the casual market which made M$ and Sony create their own motion peripherials and 8th gen just started so no one knows yet...but I do doubt Nintendo will dominate.

7th gen is the crux of my argument. Stacking up against the PS360, it should have been a flop, I mean it was very low risk compared to its competitors and released last. But when Nintendo realized that new people started picking it up, they jumped on it. The GC was market toward children while the Wii was marketed towards the entire family. And that paid off, big time.
