Lol. Why are we getting bogged down in these minor details like how fast he walks? That can easily be changed. Your second point is exactly what I'm talking about, add more depth to the game and make it more challenging and compelling as a full retail release.


Im not dissagreeing with you I would love it to be a challening game, but the truth is both Mario and cute characters like these appeal more to children. Nintendo will try and make sure it's easy to understand and play while also giving a feeling of accomplishment. When there are too many aspects said children may get stuck on a certain puzzle. Mario as a franchise is currently cemented as a easy to pick up and play franchise so making depth to one seems illogical, at least in Nintendo's eyes.


Oh ok, I thought the perception of Nintendo games as games for kids was incorrect. Nvm then.
