Something can be overrated but still good.

Gamecube was a good console with some amazing games, but of all Nintendo's home consoles, it had the lowest number of gems, in my opinion anyway.

Yeah, it did have less games, but my top 3 games of all time are all on the GC:)

My favourite game of all time is on Gamecube: Resident Evil 4.

Later, however, the Wii-make came along, which in my view is the definitive version.
