Why not?  Sure they have always made consoles but the ones they make these days is bad no matter hiw you put it. I would love not having to buy an inferior console just to play 2 nintendo exclusives every 6 months and nothing else. Nintendo fans need to realize that will only gain by having their stuff on another more technologically advanced machine. 


I would be open to an alliance with Sony where they are allowed to have input on hardware decisions and perhaps primary branding on the handheld. I could live with that. 

But I think going "full Sega" would suck and kind of rob Nintendo of their focus. 

I think they're going to do the Fusion thing next gen anyway, so the "2 games every 5-6 months worth playing" will soon go out the window. They are able to supply enough games to play year round ... just not for 2 seperate platforms (no one can do that).
