Hows does that work work if waggle was to most a passing fad ?  add that nintedo them selves sure seemed to know that well enough what they choose not to base wiiU around motion controls.  You can hope that would have worked, but Ninty them selves sure lacked confidence in motion controls thus they didnt do it.  

They basically would have put all their eggs in a already falling basket.
