I think it's just that some of the more diehard fans are stuck in the bargaining stage.  Most have moved on to depression, some have even gone into acceptance as I have seen in this thread, so it's a good sign.  People are starting to move on.

A diehard Nintendo fan doesn't give a flying fuck how well the console sells. They bought the console to enjoy the great games it has to offer. Not to compare dick sizes...
