I'm not entirely sure, cause the Dreamcast was only out for a year and a half (in America at least) and had TONS of great games, coming out like crazy. The Wii U... not so much. Plus the Dreamcast had a ton of original games and was super innovative. Way ahead of its time, but then it was also outdated as well (for example, it supported online play out of the box, but used 56k).

The Wii U is more like a GameCube... but with less sales and third party support.

I wasn't comparing the line ups or hardware but more or less the cult like status it received years after it was dead. I HAD a DC back in the day and I remember how ridiculed it was. The PS2 flat out floored the damn thing and no one wanted one. Now, all of a sudden, it's looked at like the second coming.

I think the Wii-U will see the samn thing. Ten years from now, I can imagine message boards like these filled with threads about how awesome a console it was and how it should have done better etc.
