1. The 3DS is not consistently outselling the PS4.
2. The 3DS sales are not going to drop off, they are already dropping off, the 3DS is seriously down YoY. And that is only going to continue over the next years.

Incidently Japan is the region where the 3DS is down the most with almost 50% and there are already several 3DS redesigns including one that launched last year, also your comment is completely irrelevant to my post.

And even if the 3DS manages to outsell the PS4 this year, then that still won't matter cause the 3DS sales will steadily shrink in the next years while the PS4 will steadily get stronger sales over the next couple years.
