There's a major factor people seem to be forgetting that goes with Sonys long console legs - Price cuts. I think the PS4 will be hitting its full stride after reaching $300 per console and that may very well be within the next two years. Sales will be slow to start but this is a marathon, not a race.
In regards to X1 however, I'm honestly not going to try and predict how they'll do. Their story is interesting to observe for sure, and I think our situation for the entire industry is unprecedented. Making predictions off the past does NOT point to the future.
