I would like an open world Mario, but it's gotta fix the bigger flaws for me to even care about it. I wanna keep powerups like in 3d world. I don't want to be sent back to a spot EVERY TIME I find a star. That's really annoying. In genereal, I don't want to go off looking for stars unless they're going to increase the abilities of Mario in some way. Collectathons are boring. If we could just have an open-world "supermario 3d world" i'd be totally down. 3d world is the only 3d Mario in history ive' ever really enjoyed.
