Well technically Forza 4, the last Forza on 360, has 665 premium cars compared to GT6 having 452.

Unless you are unfairly comparing GT6 to F5 based on something as arbitrary as release timeline, because Turn 10 decided to start fresh rather then half-ass upgrade their 360 assets. Plus they are different gens. So F4 is a better game to compare.

If I mentioned 5, I didnt mean to. As for 4 and GT5/6 I wouldnt consider them the same level of 'premium'

Yeah forza has more cars of a consistant quality, but when GT does it right, those cars look way better than forza's that I wouldnt classify both of them as 'premium'. Plus GT runs at a higher resolution so that adds to the clarity, especially in the interiors (cars which have one)

And im not sure what you mean by a half ass upgrade. The cars that were built for GT5 were premium, the cars which were ported were standard. The ports were not upgraded to premium. It wouldnt be a bad thing if FM5 included FM4 cars which it wasnt going to make anyway. Atleast people could drive those cars even if they did look slightly worse. Its not like theres a massive difference between them.

I suppose Turn 10 wanted to make everything consistant. Forza 5 took the heat, but at the same time paved the way for a excellent base to build upon with F6. No gen 6/7 models. I can respect that. As what happened with those GT5 commercials, I think Sony is more concerned with the marketing bullet point of 1000+ cars more then anything.

Not trying to hate on GT but that 1000+ cars bullet point is pretty much misleading since there are tons of duplicate cars in both 5 and 6.
