12 Monkeys is a good movie. Blader Runner is a great movie. Psycho is a masterpiece. Transformers is not even close....

Pacific Rim is essentially everything Transformers should have been, by taking out/fixing all of the things that make Transformers terrible (the terrible humor and the human interactions) and writing a much better and more interesting plot and a more interesting world/lore (how do you make the transformers world that crappy?). Yes, it is an action flick, but it is everything an action flick should be, partially due to the direction by Guillermo del Toro.
