You could change the camera angle and lighting on the fly to prove it was actually running in real time.

the only people who though that was cgi were the ones used to ps360 graphics. and the zelda for wii u far surpasses the tech demo anyway.

It has a broader scope than the tech demo, but at the cost of simplified lighting and textures.
