Past success is not enough to justify holding a position as important as Iwatas, the 3DS will probably not sell more then half of what the DS sold and the Wii U is not "somewhat failing", it'll probably end up selling only 1/5th of what the Wii sold.

Something at Nintendo has to change and that starts at the top.

Are you saying he done too well with the Wii and DS and he can't recreate that same magic again twice only once with the 3DS? I'm sure he is working his ass off to make the Wii-U seem like a better choice for gamers and to give those non-gamers who bought a wii a reason to want to upgrade their hardware.

I'm saying that he completely failed to recreate the success of the DS and Wii with the 3DS and Wii U, that he lost a huge part of the audience he gathered in one generation in a matter of a couple years, that is bad, plain and simple.

And sure he's working his ass off, great, most CEOs do, but all of that doesn't matter if you don't produce results, you don't get a medal for effort. If Nintendos top lacks the vision to compete in todays market then the top needs to change.
