Assuming they release compelling software for them, yes. This isn't Field of Dreams, where if you make something people will flock to it. Granted, once the 100th monkey goes for it you have a runaway success, but you have to tempt, lure, entice the early adopters and then deliver with quality and depth. Super Smash Bros' implementation of Amiibos will not be enough to move WiiUs. It will certainly move the figurines themselves, but we'll need to see at least 3-4 titles using the collectibles in a MEANINGFUL way to really see the media and the consumer sway away from the PS4/XBoxOne hype.
