I agree with tokillamockingbird, and I have a ps3 and a wii. (so i can say things about them.)
A lot of Sony fanboys hype the crap out of games that they know won't do mega numbers. (though we know gran turismo well.)
Before Yakuza 3, people were expecting it to sell over 300,000 first week and the Ps3 would beat the Wii that week! And when it came out it managed a healthy number, but less than 300,000 People then said that it is doing better than the Ps2 version and all that crap and it will reach 800k in Japan.
Sony fanboys are irritating! Nintendo fanboys tend to be more calm and collecting! 360 fanboys aren't even as bad as the Sony fanboys! (which i used to be Sony until the Wii arrived.)
also, ssj12 that doesn't make no sense, no nothing!!! The cube's kart hit 6.80 mil on a userbase of 21 mil. A lot of cube owners are getting Wiis as I know of! (except leo-j:p)
The Wii's lifetime is guaranteed to be over 60 milliion lifetime and you say it will only hit 7 mil lifetime? There are also a lot of Ps2 owners who jumped onboard the Wii. (myself being one of those people.) Who has never played a Mario Kart game b4. (i haven't. I've never played a Smash bros games either.)
