Guys, it's not a blessing. There are good things that come out of it for us consumers, like great bundles and sales like MK8's offer for an extra game for free. It may force Nintendo to make sure it's on its A-game and push out more content for the real fans. But none of that compares to true third party parity.
Don't get me wrong; I personally am perfectly happy owning only a Wii U as a current-gen console. I have to make charts and lists to plan and budget my game acquisitions and play queue. Throw my recently acquired 3DS in the mix, and my wallet is getting beat up weekly. But I'm far from representing the average consumer or gamer.
