That lack of third party support is good for Nintendo

I'd like for Nintendo to become a bit more self-sufficient, but to think an entire console can survive independent of solid outside support is nothing but a pipe dream. Even if Nintendo does expand its internal output, it still needs to diversify that output a bit better. Like it or not, you can't have a top-selling console without military shooters, sports sims and GTA-clones, the original Wii notwithstanding. And all these games aren't going to market themselves.
