Atlus seemed to be struggling with Etrian Odyssey. It had been seeing pretty stagnant sales in Japan (not particularly bad sales, just never moving up no matter what they did) and it has never really been a hit in the west.
Given the massive success of Persona Q (which I'm sure is going to sell massively better in the west, too) I wasn't sure they were going to return to this. So props to them for that.
