Mario Kart 8 proved even with low console sales the game will sell. Starved or not Wii U owners will purchase the game. Also, the game helped sell units, people bought Wii U just for MK8. Acting like indies and other games don't count because you don't consider them big releases is just moving goal posts. Your list is still inaccurate.
