Well its a beta. Yes, it would be great if out of the gate you see a lot of top notch content but since the tools need to mature and people get use to the tools expectations probably should be measured. I remember when I played the First LBP and I thought the content was total crap. I left the game for years then came back and found all these wonderful levels and inventive play.
I believe people need to actually let the community mature and get use to the tools as well as MS take in constructive comments from the community and improve their work. Stuff like this does take time so some sort of patience is needed. Personally its good that they do have a beta so that the actual released version can be better.
