Why? What can the franchise win being on a home console? Maybe in the past, when handheld technology was more limited one could want games like Stadium or the GC Pokémon games, but handhelds will get more powerfull and with better online. If you want a proper Pokemon spinoff in a home console, just wait for Pokken, or other future spinoffs.

Look at Xenoblade Chronicles X. Now look at Pokemon X. That's "why."

Pokemon needs to grow the fuck up and graduate to home consoles and they needed to do it 10 years ago.

Handhelds are perfectly capable machines in their own right. They don't need to be tied to home consoles to deliver great and unique experiences. Comparing handheld gaming with home consoles as something inferior is an outdated argument.

P.S. I don't get the comparison. Is it for the grafics, for the open world, for the gameplay, for the story? I haven't played Xenoblade chronicles, please explain.

You know it deserves the GOTY.
