The Xbox fanbase has started showing up in the vote, so the current Top skus (in no particular order) are actually a bit more diverse. By which I mean it has a couple of extra shooters. Here are, in alphabetical order, skus with at least 20 points so far:

  • Bayonetta 2 (Wii U)
  • Bloodborne (PS4)
  • Destiny (PS4)
  • Halo: Master Chief Collection (Xone)
  • Metal Gear Solid 5 (PS4)
  • Persona 5 (PS3)
  • Pokemon G3 Remakes (3DS)
  • Splatoon (Wii U)
  • Sunset Overdrive (Xone)
  • Super Smash Bros for 3DS
  • Super Smash Bros for Wii U
  • The Legend of Zelda (Wii U)
  • Uncharted 4 (PS4)
  • Xenoblade Chronicles X (Wii U)

Several other notes

  • This month, the JRPG and shooter genres are neck to neck, thanks in large part to a strong showing of shooters on all three consoles. Even the Wii U, thanks to Splatoon. Action-Adventure games are close behind thanks to Zelda U though, and may come out on top in the end.
  • The Wii U continues to do very well this month, in case having five of the above skus didn't tip you off. The PS4 is far behind it in second place, the Xbone is far behind it in third place, and every other platform, aka the PC, PS3, Vita, and 3DS, is doing a bit disappointingly so far. I guess it's because those four platforms got about one notable exclusive announced between them (that steampunk strategy game for the 3DS looks nice).
  • Nintendo is the lead publisher (again), but the second place is too close to call at this point between Microsoft and Sony. On the console front, Microsoft comes ahead, but include the little bit of Vita support, and the two are within a few points of each other. Third parties in general are doing pretty poorly, with none scoring over 50 points as of the most recent calculations
