What does Nintendo need to do to win next gen?

The last part os pretty much stating their goal is to have the system be able to play a game on the controller while the TV plays netflix, hulu, etc. similar to the snap feature on XB1 but with seperate screens, and includes the ability to play 2 different games (however, I honestly think this will be limited to Virtual Console games or Wii/Wii U games if the system is BC). Also I have to stress all this stuff is in the proposal phase and i would expect to see prototypes behind closed doors until 2016, so the big N to release its console until 2018/2019.

Let me start by saying that what I'm going to post doesn't mean that I don't believe you. I'm neutral to your credibility. But given that you are sharing this info, I have to ask: Why the hell will Nintendo go with Intel and Nvidia when they have always gone to IBM and AMD?

I mean, I could understand if they dropped IBM in favor of an x86 architecture like the rest of the industry, but why going with Intel when they have been long term partners with AMD? And the GPU manufacturer is even more strange, they have always used AMD and it's has been very clear from the last gens that AMD is more open to discuss with console manufacturers than Nvidia, and that's without taking into account that AMD is cheaper than Nvidia making the idea of using a 290X-like performance GPU a lot more feasible.

Also, what is a non-propietary BD drive? Do you mean a drive like the one on the WiiU? Because that one can't play BD movie discs, something odd for a multimedia center.
