They make games like Zelda, Metroid and Xenoblade which appeal more to adults, as well as funding games such as Bayonetta 2 and Devil's Third. Additionally, many of their other games such as Mario Kart, Smash Bros and Mario have a universal appeal...
The problem isn't that they aren't appealing to adults or whatever, its that they don't have the resources to strongly cater to everybody without the help of third parties. They are spreading their resources well, they just don't have enough resources.
Anyways, this seems like a thing that wont really hurt anyone, but might help a few...no reason to complain here, and not really much to talk about either
