and whose fault is that? and to be fair Ninty has their loyal fanbase it just might not be as big as the other two's |
Nintendo, Sony and MS's fault of course. Sony had something special with PS1 and eventually lost a large amount of that fanbase to MS. At this point Nintendos only real chance to gain headway with that group would be to fold as a company, change its name and launch a new upstart console. They wont have to release games better than MS/Sony just similar. A good chunk of the core gamer doesnt want to associate with Nintendo cause it makes them look uncool. IMO the vast majority of Nintendo fanboys already bought a U while the majority of current PS4/X1 sales are by fanboys. PS4/X1 will continue to roll on selling greatly more than the U, the first year sales dont lie. I dont think power, price, or games(obviously you need games) make as much a difference in sales as do public perception.
Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.
Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.
