I don't believe there's any "curse", but yes. The Wii U should have performed better and being below 100k is surprising.
Odds are good that it will be over 100k in June, but who knows I suppose. Still, you've got to hope for the long-term success of the system that the sales don't decrease much further and certainly not to where it was before.
